Frankly that is dribble, turning the original into a metaphor takes away the literal need for a second Christ. At no point in scripture do we see even a slight hint that they might be metaphorical. They are alway recognised scripturally as literal (Matt 19, Mk 10) . Abel is recognised as the first prophet killed (Lk 11:50-51) We live in a dangerous theological world when the authority of scripture is trumped by any historical interpretation of present data. The fallibility of man is believed over the natural reading of infallible scripture.
