In another video from the website I Am Second, baseball phenom Josh Hamilton describes how Jesus transformed his life. Powerful. Can you identify with either of his dreams?

I have two things I greatly disliked about this:
1) Doesn’t it seem reasonable that if Josh was an Israeli that he would be Jewish right now (as a Torah would have been at the foot of the bed), or if Josh lived in an Arab country that he would be a Muslim (as a Koran would have been at the foot of the bed)? It seems to me that conversions which are so clearly based on non-rational experiences would be heavily influenced by the religious traditions of converter’s culture.
2) I am bothered that it seemed necessary to highlight Josh’s accomplishments AFTER his conversion. To me, it seemed to take away from (what I would define as) the focus of the message: the conversion. Why point out Josh’s greatest worldly accomplishments AFTER he just spent 5 minutes talking about his conversion? I got the bad taste of the prosperity gospel in my mouth.
